Reports have surfaced that Travis Scott won't be facing criminal charges over the Astroworld tragedy that took place in 2021, where 10 people died. Over a year after the deadly crowd surge, a grand jury has decided the outcome after viewing and hearing evidence from prosecutors, issuing six no-bills, which means there will be no criminal charges filed. Before the hearing, an attorney for Travis stated, "nothing Travis did or failed to do fits within the Texas criminal code." After the ruling, the attorney said the decision "confirms what we have known all along—that Travis Scott is not responsible for the Astroworld tragedy." "Now that this chapter is closed, we hope for the government efforts to focus on what is most important—stopping future heartbreaking tragedies like AstroWorld from ever occurring again." Back in November 2021, 10 concertgoers, the youngest, nine-year old Ezra Blount, died after an incident took place during Travis' concert.
