Dog The Bounty Hunter Reveals He Has A Son He Didn't Know About

Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman has recently learnt he has a son whose birthday is a significant day to him.

“For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life,” he said on June 26th, which is the fourth anniversary of his wife's death.

“But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day. So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning. This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi.”

He posted an image of his son and his wife embracing while smiling for the camera. Dog also teased he would talk more about Jon in his upcoming memoir 'Nine Lives and Counting.'

Beth Chapman and Dog were married for almost 13 years, with her passing at age 51 after battling throat and lung cancer for two years. She ended up in a medically induced coma before her death.

“For anyone who has suffered a terrible loss please know God restores and redeems. Happy birthday son, love you both.”

Dog is father to 14 children, including Jon from previous marriages and relationships.

He welcomed his first son Christopher when he was a teenager with then girlfriend Debbie White.

He later wed La Fonda Sue Darnell and shares children Duane Lee II, and Leeland with her.

After that split, he moved on and married second wife Ann Tegnell, and shares Wesley and James Robert with her. They also welcomed son Zebadiah who died as an infant.

His third marriage was to Lyssa Rae Brittain and welcomed Barbara Katie, (who passed in a car accident), Tucker Dee, and Lyssa Rae II with her.

Dog and Beth shared two children, Bonnie Joanne and Garry. He also adopted Beth's daughter Cecily from a previous marriage.

After her death, Dog started seeing Francie Frane, marrying her in September 2021. After the day, it was revealed that Bonnie and Cecily were not invited. Before the invites went out, Bonnie claimed her dad was unfaithful to Beth.

“I had forgiven my father after my mother’s death for countless actions that I shouldn’t have. He would cheat on my mom all the time, and I hated him every time he did it, but forgave him for that because I wanted a relationship with my dad.” She has since deleted this Twitter post.

Dog denied the claims at the time, with that being one of the main reasons he and Frane had to "exclude" the two from the wedding.

“They’ve fallen in with a bad crowd and are working with the wrong people — I know because I’ve not only had dealings with them, but arrested them myself previously."
