The 2024 BET Awards have just happened, beginning with a show-stopping performance by Megan Thee Stallion.

There were also performances by Ice Spice, Latto, Victoria Monét, Ms. Lauryn Hill, YG Marley, and more.

But, before all the superstar performances, the stars had to strut their stuff on the red carpet. 

Stars including Tia Mowry, Yvette Nicole Brown, Mickey Guyton, Cory Hardrict and Niecy Nash Betts showed up dressed to the nines. 

Not to mention, Will Smith made an appearance, debuting a brand-new original song onstage. 

Back in April, he made a surprise cameo during J Balvin's Men In Black-inspired Coachella set, however, this BET performance marked his first big solo performance since his infamous 2022 Oscars slap. 

Later in the night, fans found out who received the coveted trophies of the ceremony. 

Drake led nominations with seven, followed by Nicki Minaj with six. The battled alongside Chris Brown, Gunna, 21 Savage, Usher, Killer Mike, and Victoria Monét for Album of the Year. 

"It’s an incredible reminder that when you want something, the only thing between you and that thing is time," Victoria said, "and if you’re willing to spend that time in your highest forms of hard work, passion, consistency and gratitude for the journey, your dreams will have no choice but to run to you!!"
