Tristan Thompson Suspended For 25 Games Without Pay

Tristan Thompson has been suspended, without pay, for 25 games. This happened after he violated the NBA's anti-drug program.

The NBA confirmed he tested positive for performance enhancing drugs, Ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033.

The suspension will start on January 24th, for the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Ibutamoren is known for increasing the levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in the body. It's been banned in sports due to a range of dangerous side effects.

Ligandrol is a drug uses to facilitate strength and muscle building, as it enhanced body fat burning, and increases physical endurance.

Thompson has yet to publicly address this suspension.

He was originally drafted in 2011, before he won a championship five years later. After nine years, he had short stints with the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, and Chicago Bulls.

Back in April 2023, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, and was returned to Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2023-2024 NBA season.

During his career, he continuously made headlines for his personal life. He began dating Khloe Kardashian in 2016, after separating from Jordan Craig. They were awaiting the arrival of son, Prince.

He then became a father again when Khloe welcomed daughter True. Days before she arrived, he cheated multiple times.

The two initially stayed together, but separated when he kissed Kylie Jenner's best friend Jordyn Woods in 2019.

It was confirmed in August 2020 that the two were trying again, however, less than a year later, they ended things again.

They then briefly reconciled again in late 2021, but ended it for good when he welcomed a child with Maralee Nichols.

At the same time, it was confirmed his and Khloe's surrogate was pregnant with their second child, son Tatum.

Despite various cheating scandals, Khloe stayed friendly with Tristan. She even allowed him to live with her when his mother passed away in January 2023.

“God does have a plan and God doesn’t want him to be alone right now. And why should he be? I just think this is what family does. When s—t hits the fan all you have is your family and Tristan and I are family. We are going to be family for the rest of our lives."

"I am grateful that I am strong enough and brave enough to be a support system for someone else that has no other support system right now. You don’t have to treat me right for me to treat you right. That is not how I was raised.”

Tristan got visibly emotional while appearing on the Hulu reality series, thanking the Kardashians for their support.

Thompson, for his part, got visibly emotional on the Hulu reality series while thanking the famous family for their support.

“Thank you so much — especially for me and my family — I don’t know what I would do without you guys. You guys are so busy and have so much going on, I just hope I can continue blessing you guys with everything my mom would want for you.”
