Super Bowl LVIII Pregame Performers Revealed

The 2024 Super Bowl is almost here, and the pregame performers have been revealed. 

It was announced Reba McEntire will perform the national anthem, Post Malone will sing 'America the Beautiful,' and Andra Day will sing 'Lift Every Voice and Sing.'

On February 11th (February 12th in Australia), the Super Bowl will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. 

Reba said, ""I’m honored to be part of something as big and historic as the Super Bowl coming to Las Vegas for the first time."

"2024 marks 50 years since I was discovered singing the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that anniversary."

Andra Day also took to social media to express her excitement, "Peace & Blessings!!! Performing the Anthem at the SuperBowl yall! Grateful! Thank You God."


Following the pregame entertainment, Usher will hit the stage for the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Each performer will be accompanied by an American Sign Language translator. CODA actor Daniel Durant will join Reba, actress, model and dancer Anjel Piñero will joing Post Malone, and actor / choreographer Shaheem Sanchez will sign with Andra Day and Usher.

Usher has opened up about the upcoming performance, "People will tune in for a football game, but I hope when they look at that halftime performance, I'm hoping they walk away with something that’s healing them."

He said he's all about "the fan experience" and "trying to figure out how to give them something that’s going to make them feel something."


He also shared fans can expect one major costume change, roller skating, choreography, and some guest appearances. 

He did say his main goal is to "take the main stage. Not just R&B music, but R&B performance, R&B connection, R&B spirit."

“I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I want people who have been a part of that journey to feel like it’s a celebration for everybody, for all of us, from the beginning up until this point.”

Surfer Mikala Jones Dead at 44

Professional surfer Mikala Jones has died following a freak surfing accident at the age of 44. His daughter broke the news.  It was revealed he was surfing along the coast of the Mentawai Islands while staying in Indonesia, when a surfboard fin severed his femoral artery from a 10cm wound inside his left groin. Westminster Abbey flooded with onlookers on May 6th for the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.  It has been 70 years since the last crowning ceremony, with 25-year-old Queen Elizabeth II becoming Queen.  Members of the royal family and celebrity friends all came out to join in the celebration.
