Nicki Minaj Releases Megan Thee Stallion Diss Track

Three days after Megan Thee Stallion released her single 'Hiss,' created to criticise haters, Nicki Minaj has hit back with her own diss track. 

For background knowledge, fans have speculated Megan Thee Stallion's song has a line that targets Nicki Minaj. 

Minaj recently released her new song 'Big Foot,' which she revealed is directly aimed at Megan, and is a follow-up to her song. 

'Hiss' sees Megan assert dominance over her haters, and addresses artists who have spoken about her to the media. 

'Big Foot' is a direct response to one version mentioning Megan's Law, a policy requiring sex offenders to register with the state. This verse fans took as a dig at Minaj, as her husband is a level two sex offender in New York. 

He served four years behind bars after he was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree, back in April 1995, for the assault of a then-16-year-old girl, the previous year. 

Minaj's new song sees her channelling her rage-fuelled alter ego Roman. She makes accusations about Megan and refers to her mother's death.

Additionally, Minaj mentions how Megan was shot in the foot in 2020 by Tory Lanez, who was then sentenced to 10 years behind bars. 

Minaj raps "Big foot, but you still a small fry / Swearin' on your dead mother when you lie."

“This lil' beggin' w---- talkin' 'bout Megan's law / For a free beat, you could hit Megan raw / If you a ghost writer, Pardi in Megan jaw /  Shots thrown, but I still ain't let Megan score / Bad bitch, she like six foot, I call her Big Foot / The bitch fell off, I said, "Get up on your good foot.” 

Additionally, she accuses the star of lying to Gayle King about the details of the assault, as well as other allegations, and criticises her rap skills. 

Minaj also teases a second installment to the track, "Lyin' on your dead mama, on-on your dead mama.” 

“Ho, the things that you've lied about / Even pertaining to your mom / You don't want them out, okay? / Now, since you think it's funny to speak about people's families / We'll all join in / We'll all play the reindeer games." 

'Big Foot' was initially teased almost immediately after 'Hiss' was released. Minaj went live on Instagram, sharing a snippet of the song and the title. 

It remains unclear where the feud between the two stars began, considering they worked together on 'Hot Girl Summer' in 2019. 

Some fans speculate they fell out after Megan and Cardi B teamed up for 'WAP.' 

Megan has continued to promote 'Hiss' over social media, not revealing exactly who the song is about. 

Megan did reveal though that the song was directed at anyone using her name to "get 24 hours of attention. I’m saying, a hit dog gon’ holler. That’s it. Whoever feel it, feel it.”

'Hiss' follows Megan's last song 'Cobra,' which dropped late last year, marking her first release as an independent artist.
