Mia Goth Sued For Alleged Battery

A background actor who worked with Mia Goth while she filmed 'MaXXXine' last year has filed a battery lawsuit against her, alleging she kicked him in the head purposefully while they filmed a scene, which resulted in a concussion.  

The lawsuit was filed by James Hunter, several months after the movie finished production. 

He alleges in the suit that he was hired to play "Dead Parishioner" in the film, which star Mia in the title role. 

He claims while filming a scene in April last year, he was made to lie down in the dirt and play dead, while Mia was supposed to "step over him, look down at him, and continue to run" past him. 

He alleges in or around the 4th take, Mia almost stepped on him, and afterwards he told the second assistant director, John Hall about it. 

Reportedly, she "was warned to be careful regarding how she stepped." However, James claims in the next take, she "intentionally kicked" him in the head with her boot, causing him to "immediately experience headache and stiffness in his neck."

He said he reported the injury to Hall, who proceeded to tell Mia and the director Ti West about it, however, no medical assistance was received.

James then alleges Mia later invaded his privacy in a bathroom, laughed, mocked, taunted, and belittled him, and "dared" him to "do anything about it."

He then claims the following day, he was informed via email and phone by the casting company, that he was removed from production for the final two day of filming, saying there was "no reason was given," and that he was banned from the set.

He said he continued to "experience head trauma symptoms including loss of memory, confusion, and disorientation" and after getting emergency treatment and testing in hospital, a doctor concluded he'd "suffered a concussion from having been kicked in the head" by Mia. 

He noted he continues to suffer disorientation, vertigo, migraines, nightmares, and severe emotional distress.

James is suing Mia for battery and wrongful termination, including West and production company A24 as defendants. He is also suing for general damages exceeding $250,000 for each cause, and demands a jury trial.
