Kanye West Sued For Allegedly Attacking Fan

Kanye West is facing legal trouble, after he allegedly punched a fan who asked for an autograph two years ago.

Reportedly, the incident occurred in 2022, when a video surfaced of a man lying on his back after allegedly being punched by Kanye, who could be heard screaming in the background.

Following a short investigation, police chose not to charge the star.

According to legal documentation, Justin Poplawski and wife Tiffany Marshall filed a lawsuit for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of consortium.

Gloria Allred is set to represent them.

The two claim the attack took place on January 13th, 2022. Justin, a "well-respected autograph dealer” who had previously obtained a signature from Kanye "without incident," claims this run-in was very different.

He alleges, after approaching Kanye, the star shouted, "I’m going to make a f**king example of you!”

He also reportedly referenced his "f**king" divorce from Kim Kardashian.

“Go the f**k [out of] here before I beat the f**k out of you. I’m going to make a f**king example of you.”

Justin was then allegedly struck multiple times by Kanye, "severely injuring him.”

During the attack, Kanye also reportedly shouted at people accompanying him, telling them to "go to the f**king house and get my f**king kids.”

Additionally, the lawsuit noted one of the people with him told him to stop, and that's when Justin was approached, "lawfully standing on public property.”

Kanye has been accused of "[physical] assault, harm, batter, and injure” of Poplawski “with the intent of committing such assault, harm, battery, and injury, when, without limitation, [Ye] unlawfully and intentionally struck him. Physically and violently attacked and battered him; and repeatedly struck him while he was defenseless and in fear for his safety causing Plaintiff to sustain damages.”

The filing adds Kanye "engaged in [the alleged attack] with a conscious disregard of the rights and safety of [the autograph seeker] and others and was despicable.”

Justin's wife is also suing for “loss of consortium."

Currently, it remains unknown what's being asked for in damages, and so far, it doesn't appear as if Kanye has reacted to the lawsuit.
