'Teen Mom' star Kailyn Lowry has expanded her family again, giving birth to twins.
She shared the news on the January 19th episode of her podcast 'Barely Famous.'
“I ended up delivering at 35 weeks. I was terrified because I didn’t love the idea, but I knew I had to do it because the baby was breached."
These are her 6th and 7th children, 2nd and 3rd with boyfriend Elijah Scott. She also revealed she welcomed them via C-section.
She has yet to reveal the names of her newborns, but previously shared she was expecting one girl and one boy.
Kailyn already shares son Isaac with Jo Rivera, son Lincoln with Javi Marroquin, sons Lux and Creed with Chris Lopez and son Rio with Scott.
In October 2023, she announced she and Scott were expecting twins, after they had secretly welcomed Rio in late 2022. She revealed she was pregnant before travelling to Thailand earlier that year.
“I must have got pregnant right before I left and I had no idea. When I got there, I was eating everything. My face was flushed, but I didn’t think anything of it because I was like, ‘There’s no way. There’s no way I am [pregnant].’”
She also revealed that expecting twins felt very different to her previous pregnancies.
“I’m still crying. … This has been my most emotional pregnancy. And I don’t know if it’s because it’s twins, but I’m like, ‘I can’t stop crying.’”
A month later, she announced the gender of the twins on Instagram. "They’re boys!”
But, after some confusion with the results of a blood test, she later clarified she was expecting one boy and one girl.
While waiting for the little ones to arrive, Kailyn explained that Scott was wanting to take the next step in their relationship.
“He’s been pushing for [engagement]. But I’ve already kind of done marriage once and I f—ked it up royally. So I’m a little hesitant.”
She admitted the two "jumped right into parenthood together,” therefore, she didn't want to rush into marriage.
“I kind of would like to have something to look forward to in the future instead of doing everything all at once. I think we have time. If we’re meant to be together, then we don’t need to rush into it tomorrow.”
She said Scott was "a family man different” from her exes. “He’s very, very much connected with his own family, with our family, and so he’s been a really good partner to me. I feel like it’s a really good match.”
But, what did her kids think about her pregnancy? In November 2023, she posted an Instagram video, which showed her eldest son Isaac encourage her to quit expanding the family.
“I think Mom should stop having kids. There are gonna be more boys and more and more.” At the time, they family had yet to bring a girl into the picture.
Lincoln, on the other hand, said, “I already have too [many] brothers.”
