The cause of 'Young and the Restless' star Billy Miller's death has been confirmed, almost three month following his passing.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled his death a suicide.

The report states Billy was found in the bathtub of his home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It stated letters specifying intent were also recovered, and it was confirmed he suffered from bi-polar disorder and depression.

His manager previously shared he passed on September 15th in Austin, Texas, just two days before he was to turn 44 years old.

After he passed, his mother Patricia spoke about the loss, thanking fans, friends, colleagues and more for the "overwhelming amount of love" the family had received.

"He fought a long hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease. He loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life."

"We all loved him so much and are desperately trying to deal with our loss."

Billy was also honoured with tributes by fellow costars, including Chrishell Stause.

"Too many feelings, but you are gone way too soon and I'm so happy I got to work with you all those years, but also call you a friend. I hope you are at peace now."

His costar Sarah Michelle Geller also reflected on his legacy.

"It was an honor to work with you but more of an honor to know you."
