Danny Masterson Signs Over Full Custody Of Daughter

Danny Masterson have given estranged wife, Bijou Phillips full custody of their daughter. 

She now has full legal and physical custody of daughter Fianna (9). Danny requested visitation rights.

Upon filing for divorce in September, Bijou requested legal and physical custody, asking she receive spousal support, and to "terminate the court's ability to grant support" to Danny.

The divorce request came after he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison during a rape retrial.

"Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter."

"This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter. She hopes that everyone will respect her family's privacy in these difficult times."

It was revealed Bijou was "distraught" over the sentencing, and that she was "surrounded by family and friends” amid the legal troubles. "She is in touch with his lawyer. They are planning appeals. She tries to stay hopeful.”

A jury found Danny guilty of two counts of rape in May, and after deliberating for over seven days, a third count of rape resulted in a hung jury.

He didn't have much of a reaction to the verdict, and it was noted his family were "fighting back tears" and Bijou began to cry.

A source has previously stated that she was "shocked and devastated” by the conviction. 

“She wasn’t prepared for the verdict. She never expected him to be found guilty. She couldn’t believe that he was taken into custody right away and remanded.”

It was added she was “terrified about the sentencing."
