The ‘Frasier’ Reboot Has Arrived!

'Frasier' has come back, 30 years after the debut of the original series.

The Paramount+ revival dropped its first two episodes on October 12th, and while Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Crane is front, center and back, he’s the only character to return.

Despite stars David Hyde Pierce (Niles Crane), Peri Gilpin (Roz Doyle) and Jane Leeves (Daphne Moon) not retuning, the new episodes have new personalities to shake up Dr. Crane’s life.

The revival follows Frasier moving from Seattle back to Boston to reconnect with his son, Freddy, and accept a teaching job at Harvard University.

Keep reading for a full guide on the new characters:

Freddy Crane

Played by Jack Cutmore-Scott, Freddy is a firefighter who dropped out of Harvard and has a fractured and contentious relationship with Frasier.

Jack is an actor from London and has had major roles in 'Kingsman: The Secret Service,' 'Deception' and 'Tenet.

Alan Cornwall

Nicholas Lyndhurst portrays Alan, Frasier’s old college friend who is now a university professor.

He loves to drink, is full of funny quips and is someone who keeps Frasier on his toes.

He helps Frasier score a teaching gig.

Nicholas has made appearances in 'A United Kingdom,' 'New Tricks' and 'Rock & Chips.'

Olivia

Toks Olagundoye joins the cast as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and the head of the university’s psychology department.

Olivia and Alan have a frenemy-type relationship, playing off of each other’s wit and often firing off comebacks.

She desperately wants Frasier to join the department believing it will guarantee the school funding.

Frasier earned fame being the host of his own radio show and the emcee of his own talk show.

Toks was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and was educated in Nigeria, Switzerland and England. She starred on ABC’s 'The Neighbors.'

David Crane

Anders Keith’s David is technically a returning character but now as an adult. The son of Daphne and Niles, he is Frasier’s nephew, and was born in the 2004 series finale of 'Frasier.'

He was named after David Angell, the creator of the original series who died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

In the revival, he is a college freshman who idolises his uncle and follows him to Boston.

Eve

Jess Salgueiro plays Eve, Freddy’s friend and roommate. She is a bartender at the bar that Frasier, Alan and Olivia often go to after class.

She is the voice of reason when it comes to Frasier and Freddy and helps them see eye-to-eye during disputes.

Jess is a Canadian actress who is known for her roles in 'The Boys' and 'Orphan Black.'
