Sophie Turner Sues Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner has sued Joe Jonas, requesting her two children, be returned to England. 

The complaint calls for "the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained," with Sophie's legal team asserting the "wrongful retention" began on Sept. 20th.

Sophie claims she and Joe agreed to declare England their "forever home" during conversations over Christmas 2022.

The two have sold their Miami home, and were in the process of buying a home in the English countryside. At this point, Sophie began filming her latest project.

Once Joe started touring with The Jonas Brothers, documents claim they agreed to let the girls join him as he had more daytime hours available than she did, noting she had "hesitation" about the "temporary arrangement."

She alleges the breakdown of the marriage happened "very suddenly" after an argument with Joe filing for divorce on Sept. 5th, and Sophie learning about their split "through the media" days later.

The custody issue came to a head when they met up to talk about the next steps. Her petition claims she "reiterated" the plan to move to England, which Joe didn't agree with.

Documents claim, "The Father has possession of the children’s passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother."

Allegedly, Joe's attorney confirmed to Sophie's team that he wouldn't return the passports, and wouldn't provide consent for his daughters to move.

The two were wed in 2019, after dating for almost three years. At the time of the split, they released a joint statement.

“Statement from the two of us: 'After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.'"

“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.'"
