Soap Star Billy Miller Dead At Age 43
Soap actor, known for his roles on 'The Young and the Restless' and 'General Hospital,' Billy Miller has died at the age of 43, days before his 44th birthday.
He passed away in Austin, Texas according to a statement from his manager. It was revealed he was “struggling with manic depression when he died." No specific cause of death was released.
He was known for several soaps over the years including 'All My Children' in 2007, 'The Young and the Restless' from 2008-2014, and earned three Daytime Emmy Awards.
Later he joined 'General Hospital' before departing in 2019. Other credits include 'Suits' and 'Truth Be Told' on AppleTV+.
Several of his former costars have paid tribute to him.
'General Hospital’s' Risa Dorken said she’s “heartbroken. My heart goes out to him, and everyone who loves him- he is loved by so many. ❤️ Warm, kind, incredibly talented.. a big hug to the daytime family. Rest in peace & happy heavenly birthday Billy.”
'The Young and the Restless’ Eileen Davidson said, “I'm so sad to hear of Billy Miller's passing,” she wrote in the post. “His infectious charm and warmth left lasting impressions on all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives. Im gonna miss that mischievous smile. Love you Billy.”
Jason Thompson, who starred in 'General Hospital' with him said he was "saddened to hear" about the death of his "friend."
"He was funny, had a great laugh and very talented. Love and light to his family and friends."
Kin Shriner of 'General Hospital' said he’s “very sad to hear” about his death. “I so enjoyed his time on @GeneralHospital. He was a really good guy and funny and kind to all !RIP Billy.”
Frank Valentini said “I am devastated to hear news of the incredibly talented Billy Miller’s passing. On behalf of the entire @GeneralHospital family, our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
