Calvin Harris Gets Married
Calvin Harris has exchanged vows, and married Vick Hope following over a year of dating.
The two tied the knot in northwest England, with the reception taking place at the Hulne Priory in Alnwick, Northumberland, following an outdoor wedding ceremony.
Engagement rumours sparked in May 2022, with the couple knowing each other for almost two decades. Hope recalled turning Harris down in 2007.
“It’s something that we laughed about on our first proper date. We still laugh about it now.”
They reconnected years later, and made their relationship public last year. She confirmed he had proposed after she was spotted wearing a large diamond ring.
“You know what, I was very overwhelmed by the interest in it, but I’m keeping my private life private. I’ve never really experienced this before about my private life, but it’s just for us.”
Earlier this year, she addressed their decision to not discuss their romance. “There’s a difference between secrecy and privacy. We don’t really put anything on social media because the time we have together is ‘real life’ and it’s our own.”
Since, she has shared a photo of the two of them from an Ibiza trip. It showcased Calvin's arms wrapped around her as they posed for a group photo.
Previously, Hope was linked to boxer Anthony Joshua and actor Tom Rosenthal.
Calvin has had an on-again, off-again romance with Aarika Wolf, as well as previously dating Rita Ora and Taylor Swift.
“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly. The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself," he said of the media coverage of he and Swift's split.
Taylor however, stayed quiet about the end of the romance. In the music video for 'Look What You Made Me Do,' she included a tombstone with the pseudonym she used to write music with Calvin: Nils Sjöberg.
