Tim McGraw Slams "Terrible" Trend Of Throwing Objects At Performers

Many performers, including Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, and Cardi B, have recently been hit with objects, including cell phones, drinks, etc. while performing on stage.

Now Tim McGraw is speaking out, and asking fans to think before they throw.

"I think it's terrible. I mean, you could really injure somebody and you could miss and hit somebody in the audience and injure somebody. What happens if somebody gets hurt? Then it ruins the show for everybody. If somebody can't continue performing."

He has previously faced similar issues, and doesn't like it or love it.

"I'm used to soft goods being thrown at me. And that's fine, but don't throw anything that's got any heft to it that's gonna hurt somebody. I just think that it's just not appropriate to do. Everybody's there to have fun and there's just no need in any of that."

He does have a contingency plan in place in case he encounters rogue objects flying at his face.

"Hopefully it doesn't happen, but I'll try to stay calm if it does."

In recent months, there have been several incidents involving artists being hit by objects thrown from the crowd.

In June, Bebe Rexha got a black eye from being hit in the face by a fan's mobile phone. He was arrested and charged with assault.

Just over a week later, Kelsea Ballerini left the stage mid song after being hit in the eye by a bracelet.

"We all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that's why I walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue. That's all I ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all."

On the other hand, Adele wants to set this "trend" on fire.

"Have you noticed how people are like forgetting f--king show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing s--t onstage. Have you seen them?"

"I f--king dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I'll f--king kill you."
