The Chicks Continue Cancelling Concerts

The Chicks, formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, have continued cancelling concerts on their tour schedule, due to an undisclosed illness.

They gave fans a "tour update." “Due to an ongoing illness, we regret that we must reschedule our show at Merriweather Post Pavilion and cancel our show at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.”

They were set to perform in Ney York on August 3rd, one day after their show in Maryland, and will next appear at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland on September 20th.

It appears tickets for the original concert will still be honoured on the rescheduled date. New York concertgoers will appear to be refunded.

There have been no specifics about the illness or who in the band in impacted. They have also previously cancelled shows in Nashville & Knoxville, Tennessee, and Greensboro, North Carolina.

“We have made the difficult decision to also reschedule our shows in Knoxville and Greensboro due to illness. We are so sorry for the inconvenience, but our priority is to put on a show you all deserve."

The world tour started in Norway in June, with US dates scheduled through September, before they head to Australia and New Zealand.
