'Supernatural' Forced Jensen Ackles To Give Up 2 MCU Avengers Roles

It's been revealed that Jensen Ackles initially tried out for Captain America, however Chris Evans was favoured for the role. He went on the earn $70-100 million. It was reported the studio held Jensen in high regard, eventually offering him the role of Hawkeye in 'The Avengers.'

Jensen was ultimately unable to accept this offer due to his prior commitment to 'Supernatural,' leading the role to go to Jeremy Renner who earned around $50 million for the portrayal.

Some have argued that Jensen appeared too polished to play a character that had endured intense superhero clashes, however Jeremy brought a compelling fusion of physical prowess and emotional weight, while still being a convincing family man.

Jensen has gone on to portray Soldier Boy in 'The Boys' which has led fans to revisit the idea he was once considered for Hawkeye. There is now speculation surrounding whether or not he could've delivered a performance as great as Jeremy's.

Jensen is accomplished and adored, with a massive global fan base, however some are still questioning whether this alone is enough to allow him the stature of a true hero, or Avenger.

Soldier Boy and Hawkeye have similar journeys and narratives, within interactions with fellow heroes and in the intricate realm of public perception.
