Erika Jayne Meets With Victims Defrauded By Tom Girardi

 Erika Jayne has met with several victims that accused her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, of defrauding them.

“I came here with an open heart to listen to what’s going on, hear what happened and figure out how to be a part of how to move forward together in a way that’s beneficial for all victims."

They met up at Paul's Ice Cream, cofounded by Kimberly Archie, a former employee of Tom, and Kathy Ruigomez, whose son Joseph was critically injured during the 2010 San Bruno pipeline explosion.

Kathy alleged Tom defrauded Joseph's $11 million settlement, won in a 2020 lawsuit. The story was featured in the 2021 documentary 'The Housewife & the Hustler.'

There are reports Erika also spoke to Josie Hernandez, who had reached out to Tom for legal counsel in 2014, following becoming ill after several failed surgeries for an implant for "incontinence issues" after childbirth.

The case was settled for $135,000 but in 2019, Josie had claimed to have not received any payments.

Erika filed for divorce in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage, and one month later the two were accused of embezzling funds earmarked for families of plane crash victims.

Erika was dismissed from the lawsuit in 2022, but they were both named in multiple other lawsuits.

This last February, Tom was indicted for allegedly embezzling over $15 million from clients, and was charged on five counts of wire fraud, carrying a max sentence of 20 years behind bars.

The federal indictment claimed Tom and colleague Christopher Kazuo Kamon fraudulently obtained millions the belonged to clients from 2010 to 2020.

Erika wasn't accused of or charged with any crimes, and after Tom's indictment made headlines, she said she would share her thoughts.

“You know, I have something to say, but not right now. You’ll hear from me soon.”

“There was a point that I didn’t wanna wake up. I mean, there was a point that I just didn’t wanna ever really be on the planet," she said earlier this year following a "heavy" period.

“My therapist, my psychiatrist, my friends and my family really helped me through. It’s important to have those people around you that really look out for you. Because it was very ugly, very dark for a while.”
