Cops Search Home In Connection To Tupac Shakur Murder

Police in Las Vegas have executed a search warrant on a home in relation to the decades-long investigation of the cold case murder of Tupac Shakur.

“LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada, on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation."

No further details were said to be provided, including whether the warrant was served for a home or business.

Henderson is just 16 miles from where the rapper was gunned down in 1996 and there is no statute of limitations for prosecuting homicide cases in the state of Nevada.

On the night of September 7th, Tupac was riding in the passenger seat of a BMW driven by Marion 'Suge' Knight when a white Cadillac pulled up alongside them.

The occupants rolled down their windows and opened fire, hitting Tupac three times in the chest.

He was rushed to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada along with Knight, and listed in critical condition.

He died six days later due to cardiac arrest, at the age of 25, his murder remaining a mystery to this day.

During his career, he sold over 75 million records worldwide.

Snoop Dogg even inducted him into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in June.

He was considered one of the most influential rappers of all time, and was a six-time Grammy nominee.

He had five No. 1 albums, including 'Me Against the World' (1995) and 'All Eyez on Me' (1996).

Three other albums were release posthumously, 'The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory' (1996), 'Until The End of Time' (2001) and 'Loyal to the Game' (2004).

'All Eyez on Me' became diamond certified in the years following his death, with his music continuing strongly for almost three decades, and his video and audio streams totaling 10.1 billion over the years.

He also had a short career on the screen, with 13 credits to his name.

Most notably, he starred as Bishop in 'Juice' (1992), which was about four inner city teenagers trying to elevate status in the hood.
