Bob Dylan Sells Scotland Estate Amidst Expected Final Tour

1997 saw Bob Dylan profess his love for Scotland with his hit song 'Highlands' which included the lyrics, “Well my heart’s in the Highland, I’m gonna go there when I feel good enough to go.”

He felt so good about the place, he bought a home there. In 2006, he and his brother purchased the Aultmore House for $2.9 millon.

Bob is now parting ways with the beloved home as he gets older, now mostly living in Malibu with wife Carolyn Dennis.

This listing comes as he's wrapping his last leg of his current world tour 'Rough and Rowdy Ways.'

He last played in Rome earlier this month, with no other upcoming tour dates scheduled. It has been reported to be his final tour.

The home is made up of 16 bedrooms, 11 baths, is situated on 24 acres of land and is now for sale for $3.9 million.

Until recently, he had used the home a few weeks a year.

The three story property was built in the 1900s, and is accessed through a long driveway through the surrounding forest.

It occupies over 18,000 square feet, and holds many original features including detailed plasterwork on ceilings, marble fireplaces, archways, and timber floors.

Amenities include a drawing room, a billiards room, a garden room, a guest/staff wing, and primary and secondary kitchens. Also there are offices, an old coal cellar, a music room, and a workshop. 

There are also several other detached properties including a Victorian greenhouse, an orchard, a walled garden, a fountain, and a croquet lawn, along with three four-bedroom cottages.

Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016, 10 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award throughout his career.
