Jane Fonda Throws Award At Director

Jane Fonda has thrown an award at Justine Triet during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

When the director won for Anatomy of the Fall and left the scroll at the podium, Jane threw an award at her to try and get her attention, after calls to her name were left unanswered.

The scroll hit Triet in the back of the head, yet she didn't appear to notice it thud to the ground behind her.

Twitter users have been calling Jane a "queen" with an "excellent shot."

Jane was stunning at the awards wearing a sequined black gown, a chain necklace and matching earrings.

She was documenting her whole weekends to posts with Eva Longoria, and meeting Kate Winslet for the first time.

This event took place almost a year after she shared her cancer diagnosis.

“I’ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.”

Jane was in remission by December after undergoing chemotherapy, which she called the “best birthday present ever”.

She has also maintained her health by working out, and said, “you have to be able to make love”.

She joked at the time that she doesn't “remember too much” about that, and divulged details about her sex life to Andy Cohen in July 2022.

She acknowledged her sex life improved with age, but characterised her intercourse as "private" and "solo."
