Celeb Reactions To The Titanic Submersible Disaster

The missing Titan submersible has shocked the world, including celebrities, who have now shared their  ideas surrounding the vessel and expedition, since light of the passengers' deaths has been revealed.

A statement was released four days after the vessel first made headlines that read, “We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.” 

It was also announced debris had been found from the Titan "consistent with a catastrophic implosion of the vessel."

Just days earlier, officials were working overtime in an attempt to rescue the five passengers, who went missing on Sunday June 18th while trying to explore the Titanic wreck at the bottom of the ocean.

Brian Szasz, stepson of passenger Hamish Harding, went to a Blink-182 show, and had this to say.

“It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the Blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times."

Cardi B had a certain type of response to the stepson's post.

“People are like, ‘What is he supposed to do? Be sad at the house? Is he supposed to go look for him himself?’ Yes. You’re supposed to be at the house sad. You’re supposed to be crying for me. You’re supposed to be right next to the phone waiting to hear any updates about me.”

Brian clapped back at Cardi B in a series of tweets claiming he attended the show as a "coping" mechanism.

Kaley Cuoco shared devastation at the news.

“This has kept me up the last few nights and made me sick. Truly praying they can be saved! Can’t imagine what the passengers are going through.”

John Cusack, echoed criticism of many upset at the resources and money spent to save "billionaires" while other tragedies at sea have gone under the radar and not been funded as well.

“All I can think is refugees capsize no one cares – some billionaires on joy rides go missing – it seems like multiple navy’s are instantly searching."

The passengers aboard were names "true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans,” in an OceanGate’s statement.

“Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew.”

On a recent episode of her "Queen Radio" podcast, she shared her opinion on the story.

"No one should be hopping they ass on a submarine talking 'bout they going down to the Titanic. I’m keeping all five passengers in my prayers and wishing all the best to search and rescue teams. I just hope everyone stays safe."

“It's interesting because the Titanic itself went down because of human incompetence and stupidity on the part of, according to the movies, hubris, and the same with this. That's the irony of it. They're going to see the same thing is happening to them. It's very sad and scary."
