Avril Lavigne and Tyga Split

Avril Lavigne and Tyga have split up after four months together. 

“Tyga and Avril were friends before they started dating so although they’ve decided to break up, they’ve remained on good terms."

It was revealed the two still “have a mutual respect for one another” after the breakup, 

The two “decided they’re better as friends than romantic partners.”

They began dating early this year, and have vowed to remain on good terms.

“There’s no hard feelings and they plan on continuing their friendship. At this point, it’s just platonic.”

Romance rumours sparked in February after they were spotted at dinner in Los Angeles. At the time, Avril and Mod Sun hadn't publicly called off their engagement.

It was revealed that Tyga and Avril were “genuinely friends and nothing more” when they were spotted together, “there was absolutely no third party involved in the split.”

Later that month, it was reported Mod Sun and Avril had separated after being “on and off for the past two months.”

Later it was revealed Tyga and Avril were getting to “know each other on a deeper level.” Avril and Mod Sun “found out it didn’t work, and they quietly ended things.” It was reported they had been “estranged for months” before the public breakup.

Tyga and Avril continued to make headlines when they were seen arriving at a Paris party together hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Days later, they confirmed their relationship by sharing a kiss at a party for Paris Fashion Week.

“Avril and Tyga never imagined a romance would happen and this was totally unexpected. They have no idea where things are going but they’re enjoying spending time together. They have great chemistry.”

Tyga had previously been connected to Blac Chyna, who he shares son King Cairo with. He then moved on with Kylie Jenner, calling it quits with her in 2017.

Avril had been married twice before her engagement with Mod Sun. She was married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley four four years, splitting in 2010, and Chad Kroeger from Nickelback for two years.
