Jerry Springer's Cause of Death Revealed

 US TV personality and host Jerry Springer has passed away at the age of 79.

He was known for hosting 'The Jerry Springer Show' for almost 30 years.

He passed peacefully in his home in Chicago, last Thursday.

It has been reported that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just a few months ago, with his health becoming worse this past week.

Although he had a sudden health deterioration, he was still working up until a month ago, where he hosted a folk music show on a local radio station in Cincinnati.

He had also appeared late last year on 'The Masked Singer' where his disguise was 'The Beetle.'

He is being survived by his daughter Katie (47), who comes from his marriage to ex-wife Micki Velton. They were married between 1973 and 1994.

“Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” said Springer’s friend Jene Galvin who spoke on behalf of the family.

“He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humour will live on.”

He was born in London in 1944 in an Underground station, where his family used to shelter from German bombs during World War II. His parents moved him to New York when he was 4 where he was raised in Queens.

He became Mayor of Cincinnati in 1977 and almost ran for higher offices. He then became the lead anchor of NBC Cincinnati's local news which led to it becoming the highest rated news show in the city.

However, it wasn't until 'The Jerry Springer Show' debuted in 1991 that he really made his way to stardom.

It was known for wild outbursts between guests, and became greater that Oprah Winfrey's show with ratings in the 90s' in several US cities. It went off the air in 2018.
