It has recently been revealed that Jesse Palmer married his longtime girlfriend Emely Fardo almost a year ago in secret! Jesse says this wasn't the plan though.

"We had originally planned a wedding in Provence, France, for summer 2020, which was postponed until summer of 2021 due to the pandemic, but we didn't want to wait any longer. So, we had a small, private and intimate ceremony with close friends who lived in New York City."

Earlier this month, the sports commentator revealed the two were married in June 2020, alongside some close friends. They had planned a more extravagant event, although cancelled due to COVID-19 travel restrictions causing Emely's Brazilian family to not be able to make it.

"We are hopeful that we can have a symbolic ceremony with our parents and families present sometime in 2022."

Just last month, ABC announced The Bachelor alum would be taking over as host after longtime host Chris Harrison permanently exited in June.

"For more than 20 years, The Bachelor has brought the world dozens of unforgettable love stories, including at one time, my own. Falling in love is one of life's greatest gifts, and I am humbled by the opportunity to return to the show as host this season to offer the newest Bachelor advice gained from firsthand experience and I am grateful to play a small part in his journey."

Jesse was Bachelor in the show's fifth season, ultimately choosing Jessica Bowlin as his winner. The two split shortly after filming finished.

Jesse has also confessed that his wife is a huge fan of The Bachelor and will be joining him for some of the filming of the newest season.

"She's watched everything from the past several years." He did confirm she hasn't seen his episodes, which were aired in 2004.

The way Emely found out Jesse was a Bachelor was funny though. She found out after fans came up and asked him for roses during the first few dates.

Jesse believes his life has changed since tieing the knot. "I continue to wake up every morning with the woman of my dreams. The biggest difference is wearing a ring, but I'm getting used to it - and loving it!"

Season 18 of The Bachelorette aired on October 19th, 2021 at 8:00PM with hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Season 26 of The Bachelor is scheduled to premiere in January 2022.
