There have been official documents that confirm what will happen after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Certain details came to light over the years, but for the first time, the full plan has been released after Politico gained official documents for the event which has been named Operation London Bridge.
While the Queen is still in good health and has recently celebrated her 95th birthday, the government has been planning for her passing for a long time.
According to Politico, the plans were updated by the Cabinet Office so that there are now specifics related to the COVID pandemic.
These guidelines cover everything from managing outstanding crowds and traffic congestion, to the Prime Minister and Cabinet officials meeting her coffin at St Pancras station.
It has been revealed that Prince Charles, who will gain the crown after the inevitable, will travel across the UK shortly before the funeral, covering the schedule for the 10 days after her death, in painstaking detail. |
