Kristen Stewart's Portrayal Of Princess Diana "Incandescent"

Kristen Stewart's portrayal of the late Princess Diana has finally debuted and it's already gaining mounds of support.

Spencer premiered on September 3rd at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. Kristen hit the red carpet in a nightgown inspired dress. It was a teal ensemble, with a lace trim, a black bow situated at the waist, white heels, and blonde tousled hair.

Kristen was seen posing for photos alongside the film's director Pablo Larraín, who was wearing a black tuxedo, paired with a black bow tie.

Earlier that day, Kristen was seen sporting a completely different look for a photocall at the festival. Her hair was pulled off to help show off a black Chanel romper.

Chanel is also behind the strapless ballgown that is featured on the first official Spencer poster. It was reported the famous house decided to recreate a Spring/Summer 1988 Haute Couture show gown. At least 1,034 hours were spent working on this piece, 700 hours just for the intricate gold and silver embroidery.

Early reviews of the film praise Kristen's performance. The superstar was called "incandescent" in her role. Another review called her portrayal "transformative."

"Kristen Stewart doesn't just do an impersonation (though on the level of impersonation she's superb). She transforms; she changes her aspect, her rhythm, her karma. Mostly, though, what we see in Stewart's Diana is a woman of natural-born elegance, with a luminosity that pours out of her, except that part of her is now driven to crush that radiance, because her life has become a wreck."

Even before the release, Kristen was gaining praise. People who attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas were shown a tease trailer and a five-minute clip from the film, quickly earning Kristen praise.

Jason Guerrasio from Insider tweeted an image of Kristen dressed as Diana and said, "Just saw footage of SPENCER. Kristen Stewart is going all out for that Oscar glory. And her Princess Di accent is spot on! #CinemaCon."

Kristen has also gone on to explain the physical aspect involved in the making of her portrayal as the late Princess Diana.

"I took more pleasure in my physicality making this movie than I have on anything. I felt more free and alive and able to move - and taller, even."

She even explained that Princess Diana "sticks out like a sparkly house on fire" after seeing videos and photos of Diana.

"There are some people endowed with an undeniable, penetrating energy. The really sad thing about her is that as normal and casual and disarming in her air, immediately she also felt so isolated and lonely. She made everyone else feel accompanied and bolstered by this light and all she wanted was to have it back."
