David Tennant, known from Doctor Who, and wife Georgia Tennant are set to star and executive produce the new drama series Hide.

The project was written and executive produced by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. It will also be directed and executive produced by Julie Anne Robinson.

The series will follow a disgraced journalist (David Tennant) who comes across a story that could bring back his career.

He soon learns he's seen something he shouldn't have and becomes the target of unknown adversaries who try anything to keep him quiet.

He ends up on the run with people dying or going missing around him. Then a serious accident has a strange side effect, and he realises, not only are there monsters in the world, but that he may be one.

Robinson has said, "I am ecstatic to have this opportunity to work with such creative and talented individuals. The Jekyll and Hyde story is a classic, and it is so thrilling to be bringing a new and exciting iteration to the screen with such brilliant collaborators."

Robinson and David have been friends for years. Almost two decades ago Robinson saw David in a play at The National Theatre and immediately cast him in BBC's Viva Blackpool.

It received a BAFTA nomination and started their careers.

David has said, "One of my earliest jobs was playing 'first policeman' in a BBC radio adaptation of 'Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.' I read the book many years ago and I've been fascinated with this character for as long as I can remember. This story has followed me around for years, tapping on my shoulder slightly impatiently. When Julie Anne approached me to talk about reimagining it for the 21st century, alongside her, the magnificent Fazekas and Butters and with the ever-brilliant Georgia Tennant, I didn't let her finish the sentence. I couldn't be more thrilled to be playing this character, telling this story and working with these people."

David and Georgia have also recently starred in BBC's Staged. It received many nominations and awards. David has also appeared in Good Omens, Jessica Jones, Camping, There She Goes, and the upcoming Around The World In 80 Days and Inside Man.

Georgia Tennant can also be seen in In The Dark.

Robinson is nominated for an Emmy for her directive work on Bridgerton. She has also received a DGA nomination for the same work.

She has also worked on Castle Rock (Hulu), Masters of Sex (HBO), Grey's Anatomy (ABC), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC), I Feel Bad (NBC), The Middle (ABC), and The Last Song starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
