Kelly McCreary From 'Grey's Anatomy' Expecting First Child

Kelly McCreary, known for her role as Dr. Maggie Pearce on Grey's Anatomy, has announced her pregnancy with husband director Pete Chatmon.

She posted a picture of herself holding a positive pregnancy test on Instagram, sponsored by Clearblue saying, "When being late comes right on time. Surprise! WE'RE HAVING A BABY! Pete and I are thrilled to be growing our family, and to share the news with all of you!

She also posted an image of herself and Pete showing off her new necklace that reads "Hot Mama."

Pete also shared the news to Instagram saying, "This Is My Favorite Monday Post Of All Time. So Excited To Grow Our Family And Add Dad To My Resume."

The couple met on the set of Grey's Anatomy two years before tying the knot in May 2019. In a Instagram tribute to Pete, Kelly said, "Two years down, [infinity sign emoji] to go. Happy Anniversary, my baby, my love, my favorite person, he best decision I've ever made in my whole entire life, @petechatmon."

This is just another way the Grey's Anatomy family has been growing lately, as Kelly's co-star Camilla Luddington, known for playing Jo Wilson, welcomed her second child, a baby boy named Lucas in August 2020.

Many fans and famous friends were over the moon for the happy couple commenting on the exciting news on Instagram.

Ellen Pompeo, known as Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy commented a series of clapping hands emojis.

James Pickens Jr; known for playing Dr. Richard Webber and Kelly's dad on Grey's Anatomy commented a red heart emoji.

Former co-star Sarah Drew, known for playing April Kepner commented, "I love you guys so much!!!!" followed by five red heart emojis.

Surfer Mikala Jones Dead at 44

Professional surfer Mikala Jones has died following a freak surfing accident at the age of 44. His daughter broke the news.  It was revealed he was surfing along the coast of the Mentawai Islands while staying in Indonesia, when a surfboard fin severed his femoral artery from a 10cm wound inside his left groin. Westminster Abbey flooded with onlookers on May 6th for the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.  It has been 70 years since the last crowning ceremony, with 25-year-old Queen Elizabeth II becoming Queen.  Members of the royal family and celebrity friends all came out to join in the celebration. A very notable figure in the crowd was Prince George, becoming on the eight Pages of Honour. Prince William and Kate Middleton were also in attendance, along with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
