One half of the iconic duo The Everly Brothers, Don Everly, has passed away at the age of 84.

He and his brother were known for sensational hits such as, 'All I Have To Do Is Dream,' 'Wake Up Little Susie,' 'Bye Bye Love' and 'Cathy's Clown.'

The two were huge in the music scene during the 1950's and early 1960's, right when rock 'n' roll had become a cultural phenomenon.

The two stretched harmonies in the scene of early rock 'n' roll with their country-influenced vocals.

Don's death was confirmed on the duo's official Instagram page.

"It is with great sadness that we regret to announce the passing of Isaac Donald Everly today. He leaves behind his wife Adela, mother Margaret, children Venetia, Stacy, Erin & Edan, grandchildren Arabella, Easan, Stirling, Eres, Lily & Esper."

There has been no cause of death confirmed.

The duo were known for the music and inspired bands like Simon & Garfunkel, who mimicked the work of The Everly Brothers in the beginning.

The two even had tension between them as the decades went on, causing a huge blowout on stage on July 14th, 1973. Phil smashed a guitar and then left Don to finish the show alone.

Don revealed in 1986 that it was one of the "saddest days" of his life.

The two became reunited for a London concert that was filmed in 1983, with the help of British guitarist Albert Lee. They then continued together until 2006.

They were part of the first class inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
