Anthony Barajas, TikTok Star, Dead At 19

19-year-old TikTok star Anthony Barajas has been shot dead after a gunman fired inside a Southern California movie theatre.

The star was watching The Forever Purge alongside friend Rylee Goodrich (18), when they were both shot in the head.

They were found after the last showing of the night, by an employee of the cinema.

Rylee died at the scene, Anthony was taken to a nearby hospital where he was placed on life support until he sadly passed.

Anthony was known all over TikTok, having almost a million followers, and reaching past that on other social media sites.

The suspected shooter Joseph Jimenez, according to Corona Police Department Corporal Tobias Kouroubacalist, acted alone and there is no knowledge of him knowing the victims or whether Anthony's status online had anything to do with the attack.

"It was completely unprovoked, and the victims were shot without any kind of prior contact."

Police are working with Riverside County prosecutors to add a second murder charge against Jimenez.

Jimenez has already been charged with the murder of Rylee Goodrich, and the attempted murder of Anthony Barajas. Jimenez didn't enter a plea, and his arraignment has been postponed.

He was also charged with a special circumstance of lying in wait, which makes him eligible for the death penalty. 

As of the moment, Jimenez has been jailed and there is no identification on whether or not he has an attorney.

His family has released a statement that says, "From his quick smile to his compassionate heart, Anthony's presence was a gift to all who knew him."
