If you loved Detective Pikachu, then this is for you!

Netflix is supposedly in early development, working on a live-action Pokémon TV series. Lucifer co-showrunner and executive producer Joe Henderson has been attached to the project.

Considering Detective Pikachu was based off of a game, it was surprising that it became so popular.

For Netflix, this just seems like a step towards the game-driven future they're heading towards. After The Witcher became a hit, Netflix already has other projects lined up with Castlevania, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider.

They have also made clear that they want to fund and deliver mobile games to its subscribers with no extra cost.

This Pokémon show could continue the work with Nintendo. In 2015, there were rumours the two companies were developing a live-action Zelda series, that end up being cancelled due to leaks.

It is quite possible that this Pokémon series could end up the same way Zelda did, so don't get your hopes up. But Netflix and Nintendo are always working to produce new and exciting projects for the world.
