Hugh Jackman Returning As Wolverine?

Hugh Jackman has been on a teasing rampage for fans, hinting at the fact that he may be returning as Wolverine in the MCU universe.

Most have known Jackman as this mutant for almost 20 years. After his character's death at the end of Logan in 2017, he has been retired from playing the iconic character.

Even though the days of Jackman as Wolverine have ended, the X-Men days certainly haven't. Last year, New Mutants ended Fox's X-Men series, but Kevin Feige has made clear that the X-Men would eventually be introduced into the MCU.

There has been much speculation as to who would be replacing Jackman as the superstar mutant, but now it seems like he won't be replaced at all.

Hugh Jackman has recently teased via Instagram that he may return to play Wolverine. She showed two pieces of Marvel-inspired images on his story. One was a piece of fan art from Bosslogic, the other a picture of Jackman and Kevin Feige.

Now, to make clear, this ISN'T a confirmation that Jackman will be returning as Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman has stated before that "if the X-Men were to be introduced into the MCU, I would continue playing Wolverine." Back in 2017, when that comment was made, it was unlikely to happen as Fox still owned the X-Men rights.

If Disney decided to recast the character of Wolverine, there will definitely be fan comparisons and backlash. If Jackman were to return, it would be taken extremely well as his portrayal of the character has been received well over the years.

There is even an easy way for him to return, with Loki having introduced the concept of the multiverse and alternate timelines.

So Marvel fans get ready! Be prepared for the implementation to take a while, considering Disney is years away from bringing the X-Men into the MCU but at least you'll have some news to look forward to.
