Georgina Chapman Is FINALLY Divorced From Harvey Weinstein.

It has been confirmed that Georgina Chapman has officially finalised her divorce from Harvey Weinstein. 

There are court records that now list the divorce as "disposed" due to a final, sealed motion that was filed.

Georgina's attorney Dan Rottenstreich has declined requests for comment. He has previously worked for other A-Listers such as Uma Thurman, and Christie Brinkley. A rep for Weinstein was unable to be reached for comment.

Georgina split with Weinstein back in 2017, after learning he was a serial sex offender. She has been dating Adrien Brody for the last two years, waiting for the finalising of her divorce.

Weinstein and Georgina share two children, India (10) and Dashiell (8). They were married in 2007 after meeting at a party. 

A divorce settlement was reached in January 2018, that mandated Weinstein pay Georgina $15 million to $20 million, as well as give up all custody to his children.

In a prenuptial agreement signed by the two, it states Weinstein must pay Georgina $300,000 in spousal support for each year of marriage. After a decade, the number becomes $400,000. The divorce settlement was reached just before the two were to celebrate their ten-year anniversary.

Georgina was also lucky enough to receive some of their marital assets, including their $15 million West Village townhouse and their $12 million Hamptons beach house.

Georgina announced she was dumping the sex offender in October 2017, shortly after news broke out about his offences.

"My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband Caring for my young children is my first priority."

Weinstein responded to this statement, supporting Georgina's decision and hoping things could be patched up.

"I am in counselling and perhaps, when I am better, we can rebuild. I understand, I love her and I love our children and hopefully, when I am better, I will be in their lives again."

In March, Weinstein was convicted of rape charges, as well as a criminal sexual act. He has been sentenced to 23 years behind bars.

Recently, there have also been arguments between Los Angeles and New York, about whether Weinstein was medically fit to be transported.

He has now been transported to California so he can face his charges of rape and sexual assault. This came after a New York judge deemed he could be transferred, against his lawyers' objections.

He has been charged with several counts of forcible rape and forcible oral copulation. He has also been charged with other counts associated with sex crimes, with incidents involving five different women. These had taken place between 2004 and 2013.

  Juda Engelmayer, a spokesperson for Weinstein has stated that authorities picked Weinstein up with little warning to be transported to California. 

"We will be fighting so that Harvey can receive his needed medical care and of course, so that he can be treated fairly. Due process, presumption of innocence and a fair trial are still his right."

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles district attorney has yet to comment.
