Dwayne Johnson has officially confirmed he will no longer be part of The Fast & Furious world.

He has appeared in the films since 2011's Fast Five, playing Luke Hobbs. Hobbs is a hugely skilled bounty hunter for the Diplomatic Security Service. His job was to capture Dominic Toretto and his team.

He appeared as the tritagonist in Fast and Furious 6, a lead character in Furious 7, a deuteragonist in The Fate of the Furious and a main protagonist in Hobbs & Shaw

There have been reports of massive tension between Dwayne and Vin Diesel for a decade. The latest dispute came after Vin took credit for Dwayne's performance due to his "tough love" approach on the set of Fast Five. Vin was a producer for the franchise.

Dwayne responded to this saying, "I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I'll leave it at that. And that I've wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me."

There is yet to be a confirmation about whether Dwayne will still appear in spin-offs.

During the filming of The Fate of the Furious in 2016, Dwayne expressed frustration with his male co-stars.

"Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right."

It was speculated that Dwayne was talking about Vin. At the time Vin spoke to TMZ, would constantly show up late to shoot scenes, and would always criticise his co-stars' acting.
