Diplo's Lawyer Calls For 'Shakedown' Over Accusations Of Filmed Coerced Sex-Act

 

American DJ Diplo has been accused of coercing a drunk woman into giving him oral sex, and then filming the act.

Diplo's lawyer, however, has dismissed all claims as a "shakedown."

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court after the plaintiff claimed she and her friends had partied alongside Diplo after one of his gigs in Las Vegas in 2019. 

The plaintiff claims he provided them with weed and alcohol, then invited her to join him in his private room while everyone else was removed by bouncers. One of the people was a male friend of the plaintiff who supposedly was punched in the face by Diplo's security team for refusing to leave the plaintiff and Diplo alone together.

She then claimed Diplo told her she wasn't allowed to leave until she performed a sexual act. She claimed she gave in to his so-called 'demands,' and that the DJ filmed the activity without her consent.

Attorney Bryan Freedman has stated the plaintiff is connected to one of Diplo's ex's who has previously accused him of sexual battery, assault and defamation.

"This complaint is completely outrageous, wildly untrue and yet also entirely predictable," Freedman exclaims.

"Given that it simply repeats the exact same claim already made by the plaintiff's friend Shelly Auguste, an individual who has been harassing Mr. Pentz (Diplo) and his family for more than a year and already has repeatedly violated the restraining order issued against her."

"We have irrefutable evidence that this is a completely meritless claim and we will be providing it to a court as quickly as we possibly can to put an end to this shakedown by Ms. Auguste and her accomplices once and for all."
