On Monday, Britney Spears' attorney requested the Los Angeles court to name a new conservator for the pop star. This comes after Britney's statement wanting her father ousted.

Matthew Rosengart, Britney's newly appointed lawyer, has requested that the accountant Jason Rubin be named the conservator for the estate.

There has also been a filed petition to remove Jamie Spears as the conservator.

Judge Brenda Penny has said the matter would be discussed at the hearing that has been scheduled for September 29th.

Britney recently testified saying she wanted her father completely removed as conservator and she wanted to charge him with conservatorship abuse.

She has also recently handed in a court filing stating who she would like as a new conservator.

Both the star, and lawyer Matthew Rosengart appointed Jason Rubin to be the conservator. He would be replacing Jamie Spears if accepted.

Rosengart has stated his team is "moving aggressively and expeditiously" to remove Jamie if he doesn't resign.

If Jason Rubin were to be appointed, he would be able to "obtain all documents and records relating to the [Spears] and her assets, whether held in her name or in the name of another, all contracts, information relating to credit cards, bank statements, estate planning documents, receivables, and any and all powers of attorney."

"We will also reserve the power to 'revoke all powers of attorney, including powers of attorney for making health care decisions and managing real estate, and to terminate any and all agencies,'" read the court papers.

Jodi Montgomery is currently serving as the conservator for Britney, who has been praised and admonished many times recently by the star.

If accepted, Jason Rubin's duties list is lengthy, but in all sorts, he will be doing everything Jamie Spears did.

Britney's team argues that since she "has the sufficient capacity to choose her own legal counsel, she likewise has sufficient capacity to make this nomination."

Britney has also recently she is far from finished talking about her conservatorship.

The hearing for removing Britney's father and replacing him with Jason Rubin was set for December 13th, but has been pushed up to September 29th.
